BIBLE HILL, N.S. – Scotia Pool won’t be the recipient of grand-prize funding in the Kraft-Heinz Project Play contest.

On Saturday, it was revealed that Goderich, Ont., was the winning community in the national online competition. Goderich will receive $250,000 for an agricultural park rejuvenation project.

Despite not winning the grand prize, Scotia Pool did receive a $20,000 second-place prize, as did the two other finalists – Boyd Stadium at Simplot Millennium Park in Brandon, Man., and Optimist Hill in Saskatoon.

Online voting determined the winner.

A crowd of local supporters gathered at The Pond in Bible Hill on Saturday evening for the announcement of the winning community during the halftime show of the CFL on TSN game between the B.C. Lions and Calgary Stampeders.
