TRURO, N.S. - Runners will be faced with large hills and harsh inclines as a popular uphill trail race returns to Truro Saturday.

The Humongously Hilly Trail Race is celebrating its sixth year in Truro with a race and relay through Victoria Park trails Saturday morning.

Put on by GoTruro, the race is contained within Victoria Park, and runs along a 10-kilometre course made of various steep hills, with five of them within the first 3.5 km.

Both kids and adults will have a chance to run the course as there is separate races set up for each. A relay option is also available.

The race will start at the bandshell stage at the bottom of the park, and will take runners around Truro Junior High School, up to the top of Young Street and back down to Victoria Park.

Check-in for the races starts at 9 a.m., with the kids race starting at 9:10 a.m. and the adults at 10 a.m.
