Hey there, it's me Kathy: Moving forward and keeping the faith

I have some important news to share and hope you will keep me in your prayers.

The radiologist department scheduled my appointment sooner than expected. They have to be careful with swelling and the filling of fluid in the cell in my head. I know I will be fine because something is telling me that all will be well. Hopefully, that troublesome area will be fixed, but if not, I have pills to take. And, I have the best team of doctors and nurses. But I still need you to keep your fingers and toes crossed and keep those prayers coming.

When it's all done, perhaps I can put a picture of my face mask in the paper so you can see what it looks like. It's as hard as a hockey mask and it keeps my head totally still so there is no way for me to sneeze or move quickly.

I want to remind you that winter in coming and the temperature is dropping so it's time to get out the moisturizer and after your daily shower put on lots of body lotion. Pure vitamin E is the cheapest and if you get it in the medicine department - not the cosmetic department - it will be cheaper. Those of you who like pretty smells like I do can also ask friends for half bottles or bottles they were going to throw away. That's a big saving, as well.

On to pet news. My puppy Thunder got his last needle last week and he didn't even cry. He is now up to five pounds and is 10 months old. He is getting better with outdoor/bathroom training.

I had great news recently! My granddaughter Vada, who is 14, made 100 on her Grade 9 calculus and she was given half an hour to do the exam. She finished it in 10 minutes with excellent results and was asked to go in the 100 BC provincial challenge. She gets those smarts from me! Her mother says it’s the fish oil she gave her as a baby, but I still say it's from me!
