“We’re super excited about the new building and its new location,” CEO Tina Sears said in a news release. “Our product line is growing and with the recent addition of John Deere golf, there was certainly a need for additional space.”
The Maritimes’ John Deere dealer is planning for a grand opening next spring at its $5.5-million, 43,000- square ft. facility.
The dealership employs 24 people but a spokesperson said there is a need for 10 additional staff members. And that number could grow as the project proceeds.
“We’re hiring in Truro as well as at our other 13 locations around the Maritimes,” Sears said. “We are seeking skilled sales people, techs, etc. to provide the best service to all our customer segments – from residential, to golf and turf, to compact tractors and to the large farm owners in the region.”
