HALIFAX – The CC Riders under-16 female soccer club took home gold medals at the HDSC Ratomir Soccer Tournament last weekend, capping off an undefeated run to the final.

In their first tournament of the season, the girls defeated Halifax County 2-0 on Friday night, before downing Halifax City 3-0 and Scotia 2-0 on Saturday. The final match saw them down Dartmouth 3-nil on Sunday to finish a shutout weekend.
The tournament, formerly known as the Halifax Dunbrack Invitational, was renamed this year after Ratomir Kovacevic – the former technical director of the Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club, who suffered a stroke four years ago. This year marked the 21st year running of the tier-II tournament.
