Bantam AA Bearcats settle for 1-2 tourney record

TRURO - The Truro Victoria Court Dental Bantam AA Bearcats posted a 1-2 win-loss record at the recent Tri-Mac Toyota hockey tournament in Antigonish.
The Cats lost their opening game to the Strait-Richmond Pirates 4-1. Scoring for the Bearcats was Brady Davis, assisted by Zach Gate. Billie Julien was Game MVP.
In Game 2, the Cats fell 4-2 to West Hants. Rylie Sellers and Davis scored for the Bearcats, while assists went to Cody Reid, Evan Starratt, Alex McNutt and Richard MacNevin. McNutt was the MVP for the game.
The Cats final game of the tournament was a 3-2 victory over Eastern Shore. McNutt led the way with a pair of goals and Julien added another. Davis and MacNevin had assists. Sabestian Gibson stopped 23 shots to win the MVP award.
