Riders win Bruce Wagner

TRURO - The CC Pro Cresting Riders under 14 Tier 2A girls soccer team claimed the gold medal recently at the Bruce Wagner Memorial Sackville United Soccer Tournament 4-2 in a shootout over Valley United.
Game MVP Taylor Lynds, Jasleen Singh, Caitlin McCavour and April MacKay did the scoring while Ashley Morell was solid in the net.
The Riders opened the tournament with an 8-1 win over Sackville United.
Holly Buchanan led the charge with three goals while Lynds had two. Single markers came from Jasleen Singh, MacKenzie Rathgeber and Kimberly Duggan. Lindsay MacKenzie was named Game MVP.
The Riders then downed Valley 3-1.
Rathgeber, Duggan and MacKay notched goals. Caitlin McCavour claimed Game MVP honours.
The Riders then nipped East Hants 2-1 on goals from Adree Lynds and Shea Lynn Callaghan, who was Game MVP.
