We call them moon snails. They are fairly common only the sandy areas of the atlantic cost - often bigger that that one. We see the empty shells they discard are they grow and live snails often when scuba diving or snorkelling

Wow, now that's a snail. Can we get an ID on this? I'd like to know what it is and if it's native to NS waters.
