WENTWORTH - Ski Wentworth is hosting the second Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing (CADS) Atlantic Festival this weekend.
The event, which was first held at the hill last year and will run Saturday to Monday, is held to give those with disabilities across Atlantic Canada the chance to try adapted skiing and snowboarding. About 40 instructors and volunteers will be on hand to help those interested in trying the sport.
Aside from activities on the hill, there will also be a kitchen party Friday night and a banquet Saturday.
Paul Bowie, a leader for alpine/para-apline ski events for the 2011 Canada Winter Games, and Eric Payne, a disabled skier, will be on hand as guest speakers.
