Cougars boys knocked out in volleyball semi - again

TRURO - There's just something about semifinals that doesn't agree with the Cobequid Cougars.
For the third consecutive tournament the Cougars boys volleyball team was defeated in the semifinal, falling 24-26, 15-25 to the Westisle Wolverines at the Fifth Annual Wall of Fame Cup in P.E.I.
The Cougars were undefeated in round-robin play by defeating the Bluefield Bobcats (22-25, 25-21, 15-6) the Three Oaks Axemen (25-16, 25-22), the Avon View Avalanche (25-9, 25-15) and Charlottetown Rural (25-12, 25-10).
Ben Fraser led the Cougars with 22 kills, 12 blocks and seven aces while Will Sandeson made 23 kills.
Evan Maynard, Kyle Kaiser, Danny Orozco, and Ian Boyd also had strong tournaments.
Cobequid is competing at the Westisle Wolverine Classic this weekend in Prince Edward Island.
