UPPER RAWDON - A multi-vehicle crash in Upper Rawdon on the long weekend sent six people to hospital.
RCMP say the accident happened Friday night just after 8 when a northbound truck carrying a piece of steel on Highway 354 lost its load.
A minivan behind the truck veered into the southbound lane to avoid the steel and was clipped by an oncoming car.
Police say the minivan was spun around and hit head-on by a third vehicle in the northbound lane. Another vehicle crashed at the scene more than an hour later.
An unidentified woman in her 20s was rushed to the QEII in Halifax in serious condition.
