Caps, Commandos continue winning at Fred Page Cup

DIEPPE, N.B. - The Summerside Western Capitals and Dieppe Commandos continued their hot start on Day 2 of the Fred Page Cup Eastern Canadian junior A hockey championship in Dieppe, N.B.
The Capitals (2-0) doubled the Sherbrooke Cougars (0-2) 6-3 while the Commandos (2-0) handed the Pembroke Lumber Kings (0-2) a 3-1 setback.
Chad Locke, Josh Currie, Josh McKinnon, Kyle Mariani, Nathan DesRoches and Nathan Snowie did the scoring for Summerside while Alex Dupuis made 28 saves for the win.
Alexandre Gagnon, Charles-Olivier Levasseur and Nicolas Poulin replied for Sherbrooke.
Ryan Stoddard scored twice for the Commandos with the other coming from Dan Joyce. Mathieu Gauvreau was the winning goalie with 29 stops. Andy Starczewski scored for Pembroke.
The two MJAHL clubs face off at 7:30 p.m. tonight, while Sherbrooke and Pembroke meet at 4 p.m.
