BRIDGEWATER, N.S. - A Nova Scotia woman says she was permanently injured after her tombstone fell on her.
Mary Lohnes and her husband Michael are suing Tingley Monuments of Bridgewater for pain and suffering they say was caused by the unstable tombstone.
The couple have filed a statement of claim in Nova Scotia Supreme Court.
The allegations have yet to be proven in court.
The couple claims the granite tombstone they purchased was unstable and they warned the company twice about it.
Mary Lohnes required surgery after part of the monument fell on her left ankle.
