HALIFAX – Dylan Blenkhorn found himself back on top of the podium again over the weekend, claiming top spot at the Atlantic Cat 250 on the Maritime Pro Stock Tour.

Blenkhorn, the 19-year-old Truro native, took the lead on lap 241 and held on for the remaining nine, battling off Maine’s Ben Rowe for the win.

After leading for 131 laps, Blenkhorn also picked up the Linde Most Laps Led award and netted more than $13,000 for the win.

It was the third win of the season for the son of local racing veteran Paul Blenkhorn, after picking up back-to-back victories early in the season.

Blenkhorn now sits third in points standings with 1535, just short of John Flemming in first with 1611 and Shawn Tucker in second with 1581.

Prior to the race, a ceremony was held to retire the number 00 of Scott Fraser, the Maritime racing legend from Shubenacadie who passed away in 2002, and the 24 of Scott Kelly who passed away from cancer in 1999.
