NEW YORK - Jon Stewart thinks Bill O'Reilly has become the voice of sanity on Fox News Channel. Although, Stewart says, "that's like being the thinnest kid at fat camp."
The two personalities with wildly different constituencies shared some good-natured shots Wednesday on "The O'Reilly Factor."
It was Stewart's first appearance on O'Reilly's show since 2004, although there was even dispute about how it happened.
O'Reilly said Stewart's camp sought the appearance, while Comedy Central says it was initiated by O'Reilly's staff.
Stewart cracked jokes but turned serious in criticizing Fox for being a "cyclonic perpetual motion machine" against President Barack Obama.
O'Reilly said the Obama attacks were primarily coming from Fox commentators Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck.
