Colchester rinks knocked out of provincials

BRIDGEWATER - The two Colchester County teams remaining in contention were knocked out of the Nova Scotia Junior Curling Championship Wednesday at the Bridgewater Curling Club.
Truro's Taylor Clarke and Brookfield's Jonathan Crouse both suffered losses that ended their runs at the tournament.
Clarke suffered a 10-2 setback to Mayflower's Danielle Parsons in seven ends while Crouse was downed 9-4 by Mayflower's Paul Dexter. Truro's Emma Garson was eliminated Tuesday.
Clarke scored one in the fifth end to close to 2-1 on Parsons, but Parsons countered with five in the fifth end to take control before adding three in the seventh. Dexter opened an 8-3 lead on Crouse by the seventh end.
