Colchester rinks remain in contention at junior curling provincials

BRIDGEWATER - A pair of Colchester County teams are still in the hunt at the Nova Scotia Junior Curling Championships at Bridgewater Curling Club.
Truro's Taylor Clarke rink and the Brookfield foursome of Jonathan Crouse are set to compete today at the event, while Truro's Emma Garson was eliminated in a 9-5 loss to Clarke Tuesday.
Clarke (2-2) faces Mayflower's Danielle Parsons (3-1) today at 8 a.m. The winner moves on to the C Pool semifinal against Bridgewater's Tara LeGay (3-1). Parsons handed Clarke a 10-1 drubbing Monday in the tournament.
Clarke opened the day Tuesday with a 7-4 loss to LeGay before rebounding to beat Garson.
Crouse (2-2) will go up against Mayflower's Paul Dexter (3-1) with the winner moving on to the C Pool semifinal against Scott Garnett (3-1), also of Mayflower.
Crouse suffered a 9-5 loss to Garnett to open play Tuesday before beating Highlander's Aly Gillis (0-3) 8-6.
