Truro junior golfers neck-and-neck heading into championship final round

KINGSTON – Truro’s Evan Starratt and Brock Dewar are all tied up in seventh place heading into Thursday’s final round at the 2014 Dartmouth Dodge Junior Championships at Paragon Golf and Country Club.

Staratt, a recent graduate of Cobequid Educational Centre, shot a third round 75 on Wednesday – his best score of the week.

The 17-year-old Dewar was coming off a hot round of 73 on Tuesday, but fell five shots in his third round to a 78.

Both golfers are well back of leader Myles Creighton, who sits six shots up on his nearest competitor. Creighton, who plays out of Ashburn, shot a third round 69 – the lowest score of the tournament so far.

Other Truro golfers in the field are Patrick Jackson, who is tied for 15th at +24, and Samuel Roy who sits at 31st with a +35.

The final round will get underway 7 a.m. sharp, with Roy kicking things off on the first hole.
