THUNDER BAY, Ont. - A 46-year-old man from Waterloo, Ont., is facing a charge of assisted suicide after the death of his wife in northwestern Ontario.
Thunder Bay police spokesman Chris Adams says officers and paramedics found the body of a 38-year-old woman inside a hotel room in the city at about 6 a.m. Friday.
Police say the woman's husband has been charged with criminal negligence causing death and assisted suicide.
His name was not released.
Police released few other details, including the woman's name, saying they need to notify her family first.
A police spokesman says the couple appeared to be travelling but he had no information on why they stopped in Thunder Bay.
