TRURO – The Pizza Delight Red Sox are heading to the ‘ship, after downing the Dairy Queen Blue Jays 26-12 on Monday night to win their best-of-three series.

Chad Mingo, the story of the Sox for the season, once again brought the big bat, dinging a grand slam while adding a double and two singles. Tanner Greatorex tripled and added two singles, while Calem McAndrew also notched a pair of singles.

On the flipside, the Blue Jays brought a balanced offense to the table, with Ben Gibbon being the only multi-hit player with two singles.

On the mound for the Red Sox were the three heroes of the day – Greatorex, McAndrew and Mingo.

The Red Sox swept the series 2-0 and will kick off the final round tonight against the rival HPI Yankees. Game time is set for 6 p.m. at Stanfield’s Ball Diamond.
