The Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians have done what no other team has done this season. They've beaten the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry in back-to-back games.
The Canadians edged out the Dry 12-11 on Tuesday night to take over sole posession of second place in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League standings from the Truro Bearcats.
In line with last Thursday's game, where Halifax hammered Dartmouth for 22 runs to take a 22-15 win, last night's matchup was another offensive affair.
Jake Pelham led the way for Halifax with two singles and a whopping five runs batted in, while his brother Josh ripped three singles. Brandon Devlin added two hits and an RBI.
For the Dry, Justin Stephens belted four RBI and landed a triple short of the cycle, while Chris Head had a single, double and three RBI.
The two wins mark the first two of the season for Halifax against Dartmouth. Previously, the Dry's only loss came at the hands of the Bearcats.
Truro now holds a game-in-hand over the Canadians, who will be in action again tonight against Kentville. The Bearcats will not see action until Sunday, when they face Kentville for themselves. The Cats are a half-game back of Halifax, and four back of Dartmouth for first place.
