TRURO - The Truro Bearcats will try to rebound from a Sunday loss when they host the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry Tuesday in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League.
First pitch is scheduled for the TAAC Grounds at 7:30 p.m.
The Bearcats enter the contest after being pummeled 16-2 by the Halifax Canadians on Sunday afternoon.
The Bearcats sit in third place with a record of 9-9, while the Moosehead Dry are first at 16-3.
On Sunday, Halifax scored four times in the first inning and enjoyed a 10-run second to put the contest out of reach early.
Adam Lucas led the Canadians with a double, three singles and three RBI, while Josh Pelham stroked four singles and drove in two runs and Ryan Veniot had three hits and three RBI.
Jeff Chisholm singled and doubled for the Bearcats, while Mike Tobin had two hits and John Chapman singled and drove in a run.
Mark Haverstock was the winning pitcher, while Brandon Malally suffered the loss.
Halifax pounded out 21 hits in the game that was stopped after 6 ½ innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
