TRURO – Truro Raceway released the draw for Atlantic Grand Circuit Week’s main event, the Exhibition Cup Invitational.
Representing Truro, going in the first position at 6-1 odds will be Prosseco Brut, driven by Darren Crowe and trained by Mark Whidden. In the three-hole at 7-1 is Likely to Win, driven by Truro’s Ryan Ellis and trained by Adam Merner.
The odds-on favourite to take the race is Duke Did It in the four spot, out of Ottawa and driven by Todd Trites. The horse holds a career mark of 1:50.4, achieved last August at Mohawk Racetrack in Milton, Ont.
At 3-1 is Astor, driven and trained by Jason Hughes of Charlottetown. Coming in at 4-1 is Ultimate Luck, of New Brunswick, driven by Gilles Barrieau – who is fresh off driving D Gs Camme to a Governor’s Plate win and track record in Summerside last weekend. Sitting at 7-2 odds is Red Rock, another Island horse, driven by Gary Chappell and trained by Hughes.
Other entries include Junebugs Baby at 5-1, Modern Xhibit at 9-2, and Touch of Lightning at 8-1.
The Exhibition Cup Invitational will headline the 12-dash card on Saturday night, with action getting underway at 6:30 p.m.
