The South Colchester Wolves captured its sixth straight provincial title last weekend in Bridgewater. This year’s team consisted of Faithe Langille (back left), Jessee Fazio, Erica Robertson, Alyssa Densmore, Mariah Hunt, Rachel Sears, Alexis Rains, Haley Duykers, Morgan Fisher, Hayley Elliott (front left), Shanea Fields, Adree Lynds, Madison Clarke, Chelsea Newman, Jade MacDougall and Jesse Keddy.
The Wolves ladies tacked another consecutive provincial championship onto their streak, effortlessly paving the way to a gold medal at the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Division 1 Slo-pitch Championship.
The Wolves defeated host Park View and J.L. Isley on Friday by scores of 14-4 and 13-3, before trouncing Sackville 11-1 to close out the round robin on Saturday.
That would be all the runs the Wolves would surrender, as they again pounded Park View 11-0 in the crossovers, before shutting out Amherst in the championship game, 8-0.
The dynasty continues for South Colchester Academy, who have also won 12 straight regional titles. The team will lose three seniors this year, but also won its sixth straight title with three Grade 7s on the roster.
