TRURO – Cole Turbide stole the show on Monday night to lead his Leafs to a win over the Ducks.
Turbide posted a four-goal performance en route to a 5-3 victory for his squad. Adding the other goal for the Leafs was Isaac Crowe, while Connor Whooten picked up a pair of apples, and Scott MacPherson and Jacob Schwartz added singles.
Tyler Totten scored two goals for the Ducks, with Logan Quinn adding the third. Cameron Euloth and Rowin Morrisey posted assists.
In other novice action, the Canadiens picked up a victory over the Sharks on Tuesday night, beating their opponents 6-2.
The Canadiens were led by a dominant performance by Callum MacLellan who scored five goals of his own and assisted on the other, which was scored by Owen Carr. Harrison McRae added three helpers and Keegan Crawford posted a pair.
Scoring for the Sharks were Tyler Foley and Alex Field.
In ladies competition, the Northumberland Silos had the winnings ways working on Monday as they downed Bike Monkey 3-1.
Putting up goals for the Silos were Sue Dalrymple, Sheila Clarke and Kristen Langille, with Stacey Willis picking up a lone assist.
Amanda Johnson picked up the win between the pipes, with the only goal against going to Ashley Moore. Elizabeth Aikens was saddled with the loss in goal for Bike Monkey.
