Bearcats could know Kent Cup opponent tonight

TRURO – The truro Bearcats will be watching closely tonight as their opponent in the Kent Cup final could be decided.

The Dieppe Commandos and Miramichi Timberwolves square off in Game 5 of the Meek Division final at 7:30 p.m. in Miramichi. The Commandos could clinch the series holding a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven affair.

The Timberwolves are missing several key players due to suspension. Trey Lewis, who captained the Halifax Mooseheads to a Memorial Cup title last season, is serving three games for a blow to the head in Game 4 on Monday while Jacob Vance is serving a game for incurring his fifth fighting major of the season.

Tyler Brown (kneeing) and Eric Walker (blow to the head) were each finish two-game suspensions tonight.

The Bearcats earned their place in the final Sunday after completing a sweep of the Pictou County Crushers.
