TRURO - Both Truro Curling Club rinks failed to make the medal round on the weekend at the Canadian Masters Curling Championships in Coaldale, Alta.
Dwayne Green skipped his foursome to a 3-5 record at the week-long event while Judy Burgess guided her team to a 3-6 standing.
Green was accompanied by Wayne Scisson, Larry Higgins and Ralph Murphy while Burgess was joined by Helen Brightman, Karen Hennigar and Penny Neily.
Green wrapped up his run at the event on Friday in a 9-2 loss to Northern Ontario's Gordon Williams while Burgess also finished Friday in a 7-1 setback to Manitoba's Pat Malanchuk.
Both Truro teams qualified for the event thanks to winning their respective provincial titles earlier this season in Digby.
