TRURO – The Truro Bearcats look to polish off their first-round Maritime Junior Hockey League playoff series tonight in Kentville.

Bearcats vs. Wildcats.

The Bearcats will face off against the Valley Wildcats in Game 4 of an Eastlink Division semifinal series at the Centennial Arena. Truro leads the best-of-seven affair 3-0.

“I wouldn’t imagine they wouldn’t want to win on home ice, so we’re expecting them to come out strong and we just gotta do what we’ve been doing all series – bang bodies and get pucks on net,” Bearcats forward Daniel Perigo said of the game plan.

The Wildcats, a young team that finished 36 points behind the Bearcats in the regular season, don’t plan on going down without a fight.

“We’re not down, we’re still battling hard,” Wildcats defenceman Brady Atwater said after the Game 3 loss. “We’re still gonna drive it to the end. We don’t want the season to end on Saturday night back at home, so we’re gonna do whatever we can to win and take this series to Game 5 back here.”

Game 5, if necessary, will be played Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre.
