TRURO - The Rev is getting a knack for exciting harness racing finishes during his stay at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto.

The four-year-old colt, owned by Truro's Stephen Tufts and Robert Skinner and trained by Danny Romo, crossed the line in a three-way tie for second during his start Saturday at the famed track. He tripped the wire in 1:52.1 with Doug McNair in the bike to finish alongside Nickle Bag, with Bible Hill native Jody Jamieson at the controls, and JC Onthebeach, a son of Somebeachsomewhere.

The Rev closed the race, worth $20,000, in a 27.1 final quarter.

The Rev also finished in a dead heat for second a week earlier in his first start at Woodbine.

The Rev, a son of Western Paradise, finished atop the Atlantic Sires Stakes points standings for three-year olds in 2013 with three wins and a second-place finish in five starts.
