OTTAWA – Justin Palardy has found a new home in the Canadian Football League.
The 25-year-old veteran kicker from Murray Siding was signed by the expansion Ottawa RedBlacks on Thursday.
Palardy spent the last three seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Last year, he made 9-of-12 field-goal attempts, a year after setting a franchise record in field-goal percentage (86.7 percent) by converting 39 of 45 tries.
Palardy, who played university football at Saint Mary’s in Halifax, has converted 114 of 139 field goal attempts and all 102 extra-point tries in his four-year CFL career.
His longest career field goal is a 51-yarder he kicked during his rookie season in 2010.
