TRURO - A pair of Colchester County golf courses are joining forces for the coming golf season.

The Mountain Golf Club announced late Wednesday it has united its 18-hole operation in East Mountain with Riverrun Golf Club, a nine-hole track in North River. Mountain Golf will operate Riverrun under the agreement, which was reached late last week after discussions throughout the winter.

The deal creates one of the largest golf operations in central and northern Nova Scotia.

The two courses have the potential to give golfers an extra long season, with Riverrun traditionally being the first to open in the spring in Colchester and the Mountain typically staying open late into the fall.

Golfers will be able to buy individual memberships for each course or a combined membership allowing golfers to take advantage of all 27 holes.

Organizations: Mountain Golf Club, Riverrun Golf Club

My Family supports both courses, and have found both to be well operated and welcoming. We wish them a successful merger.
