TRURO – The Truro and Area Minor Lacrosse Association is preparing for a new season of action.

The association will hold early-bird registration on Thursday, Feb. 27 and again on March 6 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the entrance of the Colchester Legion Stadium.
Registration dates are open to club players and mini lacrosse players.
Registration costs follow (early bird rate, followed by regular rate after March 6):
Mini – $75, $75
Novice – $190, $210
Peewee – $190, $210
Bantam – $220, $240
Midget boys – $250, $270
Intermediate boys – $250, $270
Junior B boys – $265, $285

Bearcats mini lacrosse is open to kids in grades 1 to 6. The goal is to have fun and learn lacrosse skills in a non-contact, non-competitive environment.
The season runs from April 27 to June 30 with games played on Saturday mornings. Game are an hour in length (15 minute practice followed by 45 minutes of game) 4-on-4 play, three-minute shifts, no contact, soft lacrosse balls.
Teams are made up of 11 players to maximize playing time –
Level 1 – Grades 1, 2, 3, Level 2 – Grades 4, 5 6.
Regular season club divisions compete in the Metro Minor Lacrosse League (MMLL). The league is organized and controlled with focus on skill development, fitness and fun.
The season runs from May 1 until the end of June.
All club teams will play a 14-game schedule, plus play-offs. Divisional playoffs will be a double round-robin knockout format.
All teams will have one practice each week, which will focus on skill, team play, conditioning, mental and physical preparation.
All home games and practices will be held at the Colchester Legion Stadium.
