TRURO - The Truro Wendy's Bearcats recently won the Antigonish Automobile Association Bantam A Tournament with a 5-4 overtime win over the host Antigonish Bulldogs.

Blake Arsenault notched the winner, along with another tally in regulation. Connor Grant also scored twice and Thomas Terfry added a single tally. Drew Refuse and Daniel Fagioli both chipped in a pair of assists while Bret Hazelton and Jason Munro sharing the goaltending duties.
Truro blanked the Northside Vikings 4-0 in their semifinal matchup. Arsenault scored twice while Sam Roy and Dylan MacDonald rounded out the scoring. Munro posted the shutout.
The Bearcats finished the preliminary round with a 3-2 setback to Acadia. Fagioli and Arsenault did the scoring while Terfry picked up the lone assist.
Truro also blanked the Strait Pirates 7-0. Terfry, Grant, Arsenault, Rafuse, Roy, Drew Mumford and Chance Sylliboy all scored. Terfry also chalked up four assists. Munro recorded the shutout.
The Bearcats opened the event with a 7-1 victory over Thorburn.
Terfry, Mumford, Arsenault, Sylliboy, Rafuse, Roy and Grant supplied the goals while Terfry was credited with three helpers. Jake Hiscock added two assists and Hazelton was the winning goaltender.
