Dalhousie teams hit the road for volleyball, hoops action

BIBLE HILL - The Dalhousie Rams continue their push to lock down an Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association women's volleyball playoff spot this weekend.

The Rams hit the road to New Brunswick for a pair of matches against the St. Thomas Tommies and Mount Allison Mounties.

Saturday, third-place Dalhousie (7-5) visits the Lady Beaverbrook Gym in Fredericton to meet St. Thomas (6-7) at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Rams enter McCormack Gymnasium in Sackville for a match against the second-place Mounties (8-4) at 5:30 p.m.

Dalhousie enters the weekend after a straight-sets loss to the first-place Mount Saint Vincent Mystics (11-0) on Thursday.


The Dalhousie women will try to snap a five-game losing streak Saturday when they visit undefeated St. Thomas for a 2 p.m. tip-off. On Sunday, the Rams visit Mount Allison at 1 p.m. The Rams have a 2-11 record and are out of the playoff race.

Dalhousie's men's team will also visit St. Thomas today (4 p.m.) and Mount Allison tomorrow (3 p.m.). The local squad sits last in the eight-team conference with a 1-13 record.
