BIBLE HILL - The Dalhousie Rams blanked the St. Thomas Tommies 3-0 at home on the weekend in ACAA women's volleyball.
The Rams took the match 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.
The victory lifted the Rams (7-4) into a tie for second place in the seven-team conference with the Mount Allison Mounties (7-3). The top four teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the conference championship tournament Feb. 21 to 23 at Mount Allison.
The Tommies (6-6) and the Saint John Seawolves (6-5) sit just two points behind the Rams and Mounties.
Truro's Samantha Fanning was the Rams' player of the match with 12 kills and nine digs. Thea McLachlin also made 12 kills and collected seven digs while Katie McQueen dug 11 balls. At the net, Rachel Hughes made 28 assists.
Chelsea Bringloe was player of the match for St. Thomas was seven kills and 11 digs.
The Rams host the conference-leading Mount St. Vincent Mystics (10-0) Wednesday at 6 p.m. before travelling to Fredericton for a rematch with St. Thomas Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
