Start time for the Maritime Junior Hockey League contest is 7:30 p.m.

The Bearcats (21-8-0-1) enter the game on the heels of a 6-3 win over Summerside last Sunday. Truro has won five of its last six games and sits in second place in the Eastlink Division, six points behind Pictou County.

The Wildcats (13-16-3-1) have lost seven of their last eight games. They are fifth in the Eastlink Division.

On Saturday, the Bearcats host the Woodstock Slammers at 7 p.m. at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre.

On Thursday, the Bearcats acquired former major junior goaltender Chris Festarini from Niagara of the OHL for future considerations.

Festarini has played parts of the past four-and-a-half seasons in the OHL with Niagara and Erie, during which time he has posted a record of 50-44-7 with five shutouts.

To make room for Festarini in the crease, the Bearcats sent goaltender Jordan Kennedy packing, although it is unknown at this time where he’s headed. The 20-year-old Sydney native has a 6-4-2 record this season with a .920 save percentage and 3.05 goals-against average.

The MHL trade deadline is tonight at 10 p.m.
