BROOKFIELD - Zach Coates was the lone scorer for the Brookfield Elks on Tuesday during a 3-1 loss to the Bay Ducks.
The teams played a scoreless first period at the Don Henderson Memorial Sportsplex with the Ducks holding a slim 9-8 shot advantage.
In the second, Coates picked up the only goal of the period from Ian O’Brien and Rick Nerysoo. Shots in the period favoured the Elks at 15-12.
In the third it was all Bay Ducks with Josh Clark notching his 16th, 17th and 18th goals of the season to push his totals to 33 points. Conor Carson picked up a pair of assists while Sam Pasich, Nick Handrahan and Ben Richardson all had single helpers.
Maxxim Feener collected his 7th win of the year handling 33 of 34 shots while Kinnon MacMillan took the loss facing 32 shots.
