Moore’s late marker lifts Gutter Done over Soft Touch

DEBERT – Chris Moore’s second goal of the game on a penalty shot with 41 seconds remaining lifted Gutter Done Thunder to a 5-4 victory over Soft Touch Car Wash in the Labatt West Colchester Commercial Hockey League on Thursday.

Will Cole added a pair of goals for the Thunder, while Dan Graham fired a single marker and Patrick Stewart had four assists. Nick Pettipas struck twice for Soft Touch and Ross Percy and Aaron Manuel had singles.

Meanwhile, Joel Schurman and Ryan Butcher each netted two goals as Car Star Collision mopped Halliday’s Flooring 8-3. Brad Moore, Morgan MacDonald, Ben Cumming and Jeff Simms also scored for the winners, while Travis Moore, Scott Nauss and Jacob Beaton replied for Halliday’s.

In the other contest, Trevor Lynds had two snipes as McLellan’s Machine Shop downed MacKenzie’s Towing 5-1.

Ryan Bates, Nick Hodgson and Colin Roche also scored for McLellans, while Chad McClellan had the lone marker for MacKenzie’s.
