Hawks move into first in women’s hockey standings

BROOKFIELD ­– The Truro Hubcraft Tim-Br Mart Hawks doubled Halifax Sportwheels 4-2 recently in the APS Division of the Nova Scotia Women’s Hockey League.

The win lifted the Hawks (4-0-0) into first place in the seven-team division, one point clear of the Chill (3-0-1).

Stacey Webb scored a pair of goals for the winners while Marissa Roode and Kaylee Hancock rounded out the scoring. Rachel deVries picked up the lone assist
