Brad McCallum’s race picks for the 12-dash harness racing card on Nov. 23 at Truro Raceway:
RACE 1 – Artistic Fusion made a break last week but was impressive two weeks back in this class and shouldn’t have any trouble again this week.
RACE 2 – Miss Miss Miss fit was a little disappointing last week. Having said that, the stiffest competition this week will come from Nukamotion.
RACE 3 – Whatareugonnado draws the inside and I am determined that he is better than he has been showing. If he doesn’t get in an early speed duel he has a very good chance of winning.
RACE 4 – There will likely be some early speed in here between Cavallo Frosty and PH Cyril, this will set the race up well for Sarahs Daphne.
RACE 5 – Hey Jean has been able to beat better horses than this and has the inside post which should assure she will get a good trip.
RACE 6 – Stoveonfire has been knocking on the door lately, the big horse will be out and rolling early. Hopefully he will save enough energy to cross the wire first.
RACE 7 – Metro Man comes back to Truro and will likely take the biggest portion of this purse back across the Cape Breton Causeway.
RACE 8 – There Paid For has been rolling along and winning races since coming to Truro a few starts back. A third driver in three weeks will get a win with this horse.
RACE 9 – Classy veteran St Lads Dagwood has been racing a little better in recent weeks and should be a winner in here. See below as Neigh Monster will be more competition than his odds suggest.
RACE 10 – Michelles Romance was a winner last week and gets a similar class as well as the inside post advantage.
RACE 11 – Art I Special didn’t race last week but will be ready to compete this week. I think he will be able to get past early favourite Creighton Hanover
RACE 12 – I like to support Secret Fantasy, this horse is super consistent and when drawing the inside, he is tough to beat.
– Longshot with a chance – Neigh Monster in Race 9
– Safe Bet of the day – Artistic Fushion in Race 1
