Race 1 – Last week PH Cyril returned to the form we expect from him. I expect a similar effort this week, Artistic Fusion is the only one who has a chance of catching him late.
Race 2 – IC Anastro came back to the Maritimes and was able to win last week, she will face a little more experience this week but still looks like the best in here.
Race 3 – Grayland Astrid was one of the top horses in the class and the one above earlier this year. A couple of ownership changes haven’t proven to be ideal for her but she is still more than capable of winning this race.
Race 4 – Allamerican Baller came to Truro last week from Cape Breton and put in a solid effort. This week he will face softer competition and should improve on his third from last week.
Race 5 – PH Powerful hasn’t found the winner’s circle in a while now and it’s almost time for her to get back to form.
Race 6 – St Lads Dagwood is capable of handling all competition in this race. If he doesn’t win it won’t be because he didn’t try, just a better horse will beat him.
Race 7 – Untouchable One is the best three-year-old horse in Atlantic Canada and has only been off the ticket once in 23 lifetime races.
Race 8 – Michelles Romance has raced against tougher competition in recent weeks but can put in inconsistent performances, if he is on his game he will be an easy winner.
Race 9 – Lets Make Ideal raced very well in Saint John last week.
Race 10 – Watersides Kipper had some tough luck a couple of weeks ago in Charlottetown and was set back for interference. I am giving him a slight edge over local favourite, The Rev.
Race 11 – Art I Special put on a speed show at Northside Downs in North Sydney in his last race and trainer Walter Walker wouldn’t bring him here unless he is ready to go.
Race 12 – I will continue to throw my support at Lady Mccardle. She will come from off the pace.
Longshot with a chance – Pictonian Nadia in Race 2
Safe Bet of the day – Untouchable One in Race 7
