Wolves, Huskies, Bears all looking for regional soccer crowns today

TRURO – A trio of Colchester County junior high soccer teams are going for regional glory today.


The South Colchester Wolves boys are in Pugwash looking to defend their Northumberland Region title while the Bible Hill Huskies host four teams, including the central Colchester Bears, in their tournament.

The Wolves take on Oxford at 12:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to the 3:30 p.m. final against the winner of the other semifinal match between Pugwash and New Glasgow.

The Huskies lock horns with Parrsboro at 11 a.m. with the other semifinal between Central Colchester and New Glasgow slated for 12:30 p.m. The final is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

The Wolves claimed the district title last week with a 2-1 win over the Bears on penalty kicks while the Huskies also nipped the Bears 2-1 in overtime for the girls district crown.
