TRURO - The Cobequid Cougars enter the Sackville High School invitational girls volleyball tournament this weekend with momentum on its side.
The Cougars are coming off a tournament victory last weekend at the Dalhousie University high school tournament, winning the event for the third time in five years.

In the quarterfinals, they dropped the opening set to Parkview 24-26 but roared back to win the next two 25-13, 15-5.
In the semifinal, the Cougars eked out a victory over Holy Trinity from Newfoundland. Trailing by as many as eight points in the first set and with Holy Trinity serving for the first set at 24-19, the Cougars fought back to win 28-26. After losing 25-27, Cobequid won 15-13 in the third.
In the final against Citadel, CEC lost the first set 23-25, but rallied to win 25-16 and 15-8.
In preliminary action, the Cougars lost their opening match to Citadel #2 (25-19, 23-25, 12-15) before defeating Avonview (25-13, 25-9) to finish second in their pool.
