BROOKFIELD - Hurricane Heidi's picked up a win and a tie in recent Colchester Women's Recreational Hockey League action.
In a 4-2 win over Jet Cresting, Chelsea Colpitts fired a pair of goals, while Monique Gallant added a goal and two assists. Heidi Cooke had the other marker and Lisa Leopold, Claudia Covalciuc, Cathy Weldin and Tina Julien had assists. Annik Caissie and Lauren Stiles scored for Jet Cresting and Marissa Roode had a helper.
Hurricane Heidi's then tied the Dairy Queen Blizzards 4-4.
Colpitts had two goals, while Gallant and Anita Fisher also scored. Assists went to Cooke, with three, Margaret Sutherland, Lorena Fortune, Covalciuc, Colpitts and Anitra Whidden. Jennie MacLeod scored twice for the Blizzards, while Veronica McMillan and Ellie Shipley added singles. Helpers went to Lesley Evans and Rachel deVries, with two each, and Megan Weir.
In other action, Wildflowing Vending edged Taylor Automotive 3-2 and doubled Parrsboro 4-2.
Against Taylor's, Becky Wallace, Megan McCully and Marion Esau scored. with assists from Tracey Murdock, Lorna McCallum, McCully and Esau. For Taylor's, Kaylee Hancock and Courteny Blair-Cope scored with assists from Amanda Dowe and Wendy Cormier.
Lisa Smith earned the win in nets for Wildflower and Christina White played for Taylor's.
Against Parrsboro, Rachael Kinch scored two goals and McCully and Esau added singles. Nicole Flemming had two assists and Carolyn Wilson chipped in one. Stacey Webb and Carole Gautreau notched goals for Parrsboro, while Susan Smith, Dana Carr and Wanda Jewers had helpers.
Smith picked up the win between the pipes and Patty Willigar played nets for Parrsboro.
