SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 29, 2013, 1:30 pm
Race 1 – Majestic Reins B is a very tough veteran who will finally have a shot at the inside post and will look to take advantage of it.
Race 2 – KD Intogo does not have as much experience as some of her competitors but is coming off of a win last week and will have a strong chance at back-to-back wins.
Race 3 – The Rev has been very strong on the stakes circuit this year and will look to use home-track advantage to hold off JB Bolt for the win.
Race 4 – Id Rather Be Lucky is a lot better than what she has shown in the past few weeks. If she can stay pacing she will cross the wire first.
Race 5 – Icandothat had some bad racing luck last week with her break behind the gate. If she behaves herself, she will be tops. Putnams Kream has been in the top three in two-thirds of her starts and will look to keep that effort going.
Race 6 – Weird Albert is a class horse and will likely try to play catch me if you can.
Race 7 – Untouchable One has been basically unstoppable; in 19 career races he has only finished worse than second once. He is very fast and very strong.
Race 8 – Saulsbrook Quick gets a bit of class relief in this race but didn’t put in a good effort last week; Maritimer will track him down in the late stages for the win.
Race 9 – Diana Santanna has won more than 50 per cent of her races this year and has been in the top three 80 per cent of the time.
Race 10 – Super S Yzerman is the morning-line favourite in this race and for good reason. He is a very nice two-year-old and should be able to handle his provincial mates.
Race 11 – Pownal Bay Mustang and Woodmere Trackeater have been improving all summer on the stake circuit. Crowe will use home-track to his advantage.
Race 12 – There are a few horses that I always support in this race and it is going to be tough to choose. Prom Mister wasn’t as sharp as he normally is but will rebound this week.
Longshot with a chance – JB Bolt in Race 3.
Safe Bet of the day – Untouchable in Race 7.
