Pye Chev Bearcats in contention at peewee AAA Atlantics

TRURO – The Truro Pye Chev Bearcats are putting together a strong run at the peewee AAA Atlantic hockey championship in Corner Brook, NL.

The Bearcats moved to 2-1 Friday with a 3-2 victory over Team P.E.I.

Gavin Hart, Carson Lanceleve and Jared McIsaac scored for Truro.

The Bearcats, who earned a spot at the event by winning the Nova Scotia title, also nipped the hosts 4-3 after opening the event with a 5-3 loss to Team Newfoundland.

McIsaac, Lanceleve, Cam Patton and Marc Aucoin did the scoring against Corner Brook.

Lanceleve scored twice against Newfoundland with Hart netting the other.
