Cougars, Wolves both book spots at provincial high school curling tourney

TRURO – The Cobequid Cougars and South Colchester Wolves are off to the NSSAF boys curling championship.

The Cougars, with skip Ben Hennigar, Drew Spinney, Cameron Begin, and Sam Byers, went 4-0 at the recent Northumberland regional championship in New Glasgow.

The Wolves, led by skip Andrew Burgess, Jacob Bowers, Jared White and Jamie O’Connell, went 3-1, suffering their only los to the Cougars.

The North Nova Gryphons also earned a spot at provincials, March 21 to 23 at Forest Heights Community School in Chester, as the top three teams after the round-robin were awarded berths.
