Truro cheerleading teams pick up wins at Maritime Meltdown

TRURO – The Truro All-Star Cheerleading Company brought home some hardware on the weekend from the Maritime Meltdown competition at Exhibition Park in Halifax.

Truro squads placed first in both the Senior Level 2 and Youth Level 2 divisions. Truro also finished second in Senior Level 4.2 and came home fourth in Youth Level 1.

Teams were judged based on an average score over two performances at the two-day event, which was hosted by the Halifax-based Cheer Extreme All-Stars and Halifax Cheer Elite.

Truro teams will be back in action April 6 and 7 at the ICE All-Star Competition in Wolfville.
