Black Cats get two wins in midget C hockey

TRURO – The Truro Black Cats breezed past the competition in their most recent pair of midget C hockey contests.

The Black Cats defeated the West Colchester Cobras 9-2 after blanking the Brookfield Elks 6-0.

Stephen Mallov poured in four goals for Truro against West Colchester while Rachel Currie netted a pair. Single tallies came from Trevor Fredeen, Chris Cameron and Jared Adams, Nathan Smith was credited with the win.

Mallov and Zack MacKinnon each scored twice against Brookfield as Alex Peters and Brendan Collette bagged singles. Smith recorded the shutout.
