TRURO - The Cobequid Cougars certainly showed their killer instinct Wednesday in New Glasgow.
With the Northumberland Region boys basketball banner up for grabs, the Cougars drubbed the North Nova Gryphons 91-33 to complete a sweep of their best-of-three final.
The victory earns the Cougars a berth in the NSSAF Division 1 championship Feb. 28 to Mar. 2 at Memorial High School in North Sydney.
Cobequid took Game 1 Tuesday at CEC 74-51.
Taran Jordan led the Cougars Wednesday with 21 points, while Austin Deuville and Ethan Green each poured in 15.
"We had more players on offence being aggressive," Cougars coach Marc Roberts said. "We shared the ball and every player in the game scored. But it all started on defence for us."
